Poetry With a lifelong love of poetry, but with no experience of writing, the artist turned to poetry after writing workshops at a writers retreat. The poems selected are some of three hundred written subsequently in the space of five years. They have been chosen because they are primarily visual. They either record details of the environment in which the artist works, (the Mendip Hills) or strongly felt autobiographical experiences. They pre-date the Assemblages, but the obsessive listing and arranging seems to provide a natural link between both forms. |
